Rye Taft
Tournament Manager

Originally from Portland, Maine, Rye Taft began playing golf at age 12 as a way to spend more time with his dad. After relocating to South Carolina in 2015, the game quickly grew into a passion, a way to build friendships, and a pathway to a strong education. While studying at Queens University of Charlotte, he worked in outside operations and as a caddie at Quail Hollow Club, where he was introduced to tournament operations. During his time there, he gained valuable experience supporting two Wells Fargo Championships and the 2022 Presidents Cup.

In early 2025, Rye served as a spring intern for the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) on the West Coast before joining the Carolinas Golf Association in May initially as an PJ Boatwright Operations Intern before being brought in full-time as a Tournament Manager. He is eager to continue developing his skills in tournament planning and execution, with aspirations of a long-term career in high-level golf administration.
